My Views on Muslims, the Muslim Faith of Islam, and the Qur’an

Kuuleme T. Stephens

Many people have questioned me about what I think of Muslims, if I think they are all bad, and if I think they are getting a bad rap because of a few bad apples.

My answers to the questions are a little more complex on this issue and hard to put in a single posting or status so I will explain it here.

Do I think all Muslims are bad? No, I do not consider them all to be “bad people” per say. Many that consider themselves to be a Muslim have good intentions and are law-abiding citizens here in the United States. I do, however, think that many Americans and others not born in “Muslim Dominated Countries” are sucked into this so-called “faith” under the guise that it is a peaceful one. I, however, DO NOT believe that there is such a thing as a “peaceful Muslim”.  I have read the Qur’an myself and have to take into consideration their so-called Holy Book (Qur’an aka Koran, Al-Coran, Coran, Kuran, and Al-Qur’ran) that they base their “faith” on.

As stated on Wikipedia: “The Quran is composed of verses (Ayat) that make up 114 chapters (suras) of unequal length which are classified either as Meccan or Medinan  depending upon the place and time of their claimed revelation. Muslims believe the Quran to be verbally revealed through angel Jibril (Gabriel) from God to Muhammad gradually over a period of approximately 23 years beginning on 22nd December 609 CE, when Muhammad was 40, and concluding in 632 CE, the year of his death.” (

Before I go too far, let me explain the difference between Islam and Muslim because many people do not understand that there is a difference. The simplest explanation I could find was:

  • Islam : the meaning comes from the Arabic verbal noun (like a gerund) s-l-m. When appropriate vowel markers are added the word Islam appears. The etymology of s-l-m is to submit, accept, or surrender. From this comes Islam’s conventional definition of surrender to God.
  • Muslim : also has its roots in the s-l-m verb. It is a participle of the verb and refers to a person who engages in the act of submission, acceptance, or surrender. Therefore a Muslim is a person who submits to the will of God, or a follower of Islam. (

Folks, if you haven’t read the Qur’an, I suggest EVERY AMERICAN read it and see for yourselves what you are dealing with, then BURN the damn thing afterwards!!!! Many talk about Muslims, condemn the followers, and have yet to read the book itself. This is the manual of explanation!!! To criticize Muslims and not have any idea about their “faith” or “Holy Book”, is like the followers of Obama that try to defend him saying he’s not a Communist or a Muslim, without reading Obama’s own books and personal statements. The way I look at it is like this: If you want to be an informed person, you will read it. You must know about what you are talking about and be knowledgeable about it, if you are going to condemn something. This way you have a leg to stand on in your arguments and can use their own stuff against them.

Here are a few things from their so-called peaceful “holy book”: “And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid … you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers”

Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater [evil] in the sight of Allah . And fitnah is greater than killing. And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able.” “If a wound (and killing) has touched you, be sure a similar wound (and killing) has touched the others. And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allah may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. …”

“So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory – We will bestow upon him a great reward.”

“So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah . But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.”

“If they withdraw not from you, nor offer you peace, nor restrain their hands, take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them. In their case, We have provided you with a clear warrant against them.”

They give very strict guidelines on being able to lie to the Infidel (meaning anyone who does not share their religious views):

“Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah , except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.”

Here is a segment on how and when it is ok for Muslims to lie found at:

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each   other, unless the purpose of lying is to “smooth over differences.”There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under   certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman. These circumstances   are typically those that advance the cause Islam – in some cases by gaining   the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and   defeat them.
The Qur’an:Qur’an   (16:106)– Establishes that there are circumstances that can   “compel” a Muslim to tell a lie.Qur’an   (3:28)– This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as   friends, unless it is to “guard themselves.”Qur’an   (9:3)“…Allah and His Messenger are free from liability to   the idolaters…”The dissolution of oaths with the pagans who   remained at Mecca following its capture. They did nothing wrong, but were   evicted anyway.Qur’an   (40:28) – A man is introduced as a believer, but one who must “hide   his faith” among those who are not believers.Qur’an   (2:225)“Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness   in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts” The context of   this remark is marriage, which explains why Sharia allows spouses to lie to   each other for the greater good.Qur’an   (66:2)“Allah has already ordained for you, (O men), the dissolution   of your oaths”Qur’an   (3:54)“And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed   (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers.” The Arabic word   used here for scheme (or plot) is makara, which literally means   deceit. If Allah is deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis   for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30   and 10:21)

Taken collectively these verses are interpreted to mean that there are   circumstances when a Muslim may be “compelled” to deceive others   for a greater purpose.

From the Hadith:Bukhari   (52:269)“The Prophet said, ‘War is deceit.'” The   context of this is thought to be the murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty   unarmed men by Muhammad’s men after he “guaranteed” them safe   passage (see Additional Notes below).Bukhari   (49:857)“He who makes peace between the people by inventing   good information or saying good things, is not a liar.” Lying is   permitted when the end justifies the means.Bukhari   (84:64-65)– Speaking from a position of power at the time, Ali confirms   that lying is permissible in order to deceive an “enemy.”Muslim   (32:6303)“…he did not hear that exemption was granted in   anything what the people speak as lie but in three cases: in battle, for   bringing reconciliation amongst persons and the narration of the words of the   husband to his wife, and the narration of the words of a wife to her husband   (in a twisted form in order to bring reconciliation between them).”Bukhari   (50:369) – Recounts the murder of a poet, Ka’b bin al-Ashraf, at   Muhammad’s insistence. The men who volunteered for the assassination used   dishonesty to gain Ka’b’s trust, pretending that they had turned against   Muhammad. This drew the victim out of his fortress, whereupon he was brutally   slaughtered despite putting up a ferocious struggle for his life. From   Islamic Law:Reliance of the Traveler (p.   746 – 8.2) – “Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a   praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it   is unlawful to accomplish through lying because there is no need for it. When   it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth,   it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible (N:i.e. when   the purpose of lying is to circumvent someone who is preventing one from   doing something permissible), and obligatory to lie if the goal is   obligatory… it is religiously precautionary in all cases to employ words   that give a misleading impression…

“One should compare the bad consequences entailed by   lying to those entailed by telling the truth, and if the consequences of   telling the truth are more damaging, one is entitled to lie.

Additional Notes: Muslims are allowed to lie to unbelievers in order to   defeat them. The two forms are:Taqiyya– Saying something that isn’t true.Kitman – Lying by omission. An example would   be when Muslim apologists quote only a fragment of verse 5:32   (that if anyone kills “it shall be as if he had killed all   mankind”) while neglecting to mention that the rest of the verse   (and the next) mandate murder in undefined cases of “corruption”   and “mischief.”Though not called Taqiyyaby name, Muhammad clearly   used deception when he signed a 10-year treaty with the Meccans that allowed   him access to their city while he secretly prepared his own forces for a   takeover. The unsuspecting residents were conquered in easy fashion after he   broke the treaty two years later, and some of the people in the city who had   trusted him at his word were executed.Another example of lying is when Muhammad used deception   to trick his personal enemies into letting down their guard and exposing   themselves to slaughter by pretending to seek peace. This happened in the   case of Ka’b bin al-Ashraf (as previously noted) and again later against   Usayr ibn Zarim, a surviving leader of the Banu Nadir tribe, which had been   evicted from their home in Medina by the Muslims. At the time, Usayr ibn Zarim was attempting to gather an   armed force against the Muslims from among a tribe allied with the Quraish   (against which Muhammad had already declared war). Muhammad’s   “emissaries” went to ibn Zarim and persuaded him to leave his safe   haven on the pretext of meeting with the prophet of Islam in Medina to   discuss peace. Once vulnerable, the leader and his thirty companions were   massacred by the Muslims with ease, belying the probability that they were   mostly unarmed, having been given a guarantee of safe passage (Ibn Ishaq   981).Such was the reputation of Muslims for lying and then   killing that even those who “accepted Islam” did not feel entirely   safe. The fate of the Jadhima is tragic evidence for this. When Muslim   “missionaries” approached their tribe one of the members insisted   that they would be slaughtered even though they had already   “converted” to Islam to avoid just such a demise. However, the   others were convinced that they could trust the Muslim leader’s promise that   they would not be harmed if they simply offered no resistance. (After   convincing the skeptic to lay down his arms, the unarmed men of the tribe   were quickly tied up and beheaded – Ibn Ishaq 834 & 837).

Today’s Muslims often try to justify Muhammad’s murder of   poets and others who criticized him at Medina by saying that they broke a   treaty by their actions. Yet, these same apologists place little value on   treaties broken by Muslims. From Muhammad to Saddam Hussein, promises made to   non-Muslim are distinctly non-binding in the Muslim mindset.

Leaders in the Arab world routinely say one thing to   English-speaking audiences and then something entirely different to their own   people in Arabic. Yassir Arafat was famous for telling Western newspapers   about his desire for peace with Israel, then turning right around and   whipping Palestinians into a hateful and violent frenzy against Jews.

The 9/11 hijackers practiced deception by going into bars   and drinking alcohol, thus throwing off potential suspicion that they were   fundamentalists plotting jihad. This effort worked so well, in fact, that   even weeks after 9/11, John Walsh, the host of a popular American television   show, said that their bar trips were evidence of ‘hypocrisy.’

The transmission from Flight 93 records the hijackers   telling their doomed passengers that there is “a bomb on board” but   that everyone will “be safe” as long as “their demands are   met.” Obviously none of these things were true, but these men, who were   so intensely devoted to Islam that they were willing to “slay and be slain   for the cause of Allah” (as the Qur’an puts it) saw nothing wrong with   employing Taqiyya in order to facilitate their mission of mass murder.

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) insists that   it “has not now or ever been involved with the Muslim Brotherhood, or   supported any covert, illegal, or terrorist activity or organization.”   In fact, it was created by the Muslim Brotherhood and has bankrolled Hamas.   At least nine founders or board members of ISNA have been accused by   prosecutors of supporting terrorism.

Prior to engineering several deadly terror plots, such as   the Fort Hood massacre and the attempt to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner,   American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki was regularly sought out by NPR, PBS and even   government leaders to expound on the peaceful nature of Islam.

The near absence of Qur’anic verse and reliable Hadith   that encourage truthfulness is somewhat surprising, given that many Muslims   are convinced that their religion teaches honesty. In fact, it is because of   this ingrained belief that many Muslims are quite honest. When lying is   addressed in the Qur’an, it is nearly always in reference to the “lies   against Allah” – referring to the Jews and Christians who rejected   Muhammad’s claim to being a prophet.

Finally, the circumstances by which Muhammad allowed a   believer to lie to a non-spouse are limited to those that either advance the   cause of Islam or enable a Muslim to avoid harm to his well-being (and   presumably that of other Muslims as well). Although this should be kept very   much in mind when dealing with matters of global security, such as Iran’s   nuclear intentions, it is not grounds for assuming that the   Muslim one might personally encounter on the street or in the workplace is   any less honest than anyone else.

So, if a Muslim is a person who submits to the will of God aka Allah, and is a follower of Islam, and Islam is the faith and means to submit, accept, or surrender by which from this comes Islam’s conventional definition of surrender to God, and the Qur’an is their Holy Book by which they receive their Religious Instruction. How is it that this is a religion of peace?  It stating that they must RECRUIT or WIPE OUT anyone in their path!!! The only time their so-called “Holy Book” encourages peace is when they are dealing with other Muslims!!! This is why I say there is NO SUCH THING as a “peaceful Muslim”!!! Don’t fall for this watered down Americanized “peaceful Muslim” BS!!! It is only a RECRUITMENT TOOL!!! Why do you think most Americans who convert to Islam are people who usually males who have spent time in the Prison System or weak-minded women???  They get you when you are down, at your weakest, and looking for a place to fit in!!! In the end or when the sh*t hits the fan, you will have to choose a side!!! If you have been drawn into the “faith” or have converted, you will either be a follower of your CHOSEN “faith”, or become an INFIDEL just like the rest of us!!!!

The important question is: WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE?????

  2. I know you were just quoting Wikipedia, but under Islam, submission is to Allah, not God. I do not believe that the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob is the same ‘god’ as Allah. I refuse to call Allah “god” or even “a god.”

There is a lot of evidence that Allah is actually the Pagan Arabic crescent moon god Before Muhammad came along, the crescent moon represented Allah and the stars represented his daughters. (el-Lat, el-Uzza, and Manat)

Islam is the restoration of moon-god worship that Abraham gave up when he left the Ur of Chaldees. Abraham left moon worship of Iraq for the one true God. His son Ishmael was cast out and went to Arabia where he continued to worship the moon God. The crescent moon atop every mosque is the symbol that Ishmael went back to the very moon worship that his father Abraham abandoned.

  3. So does all this make you feel like a better Christian, and servant of God? Will you sleep a little better, and feel like you left a bright spot in as many peoples lives as possible as Christ did? Has a Muslim personally wronged or harmed you? White Christian Europe and America have wronged the world far more than any Muslim country. The knights templar? European colonialist in Africa and the natives of the Americas? The American military imperialist machine, all killing lby the hundreds of millions in the name of christianity and Christ. To this day. Muslims saved humanity and brougt

ht about the age of enlightenment in Europe and bright it back from the brink of total
    collapse. Remember the moors?

    • Why did you skip over the Arab Muslims and why the Knights Templar had to fight to push them back? There were 3 crusades and they were started to push the Muslim’s back out of Christian territory. If you’re going to go back in History then go back and tell it all…..

  4. Christians have killed and and enslaved in the name of Jesus, and killed more people than all the American wars combined. White colonial Christians beat and forced christianity on African Americans. You sit here and cast judgment and offend over a billion muslins world wide and call yourself Christian?! “your”own lord would condemn your viper tongue, and has never led by example like this. Did he not say let he who is without sin cast the first stone? You are nothing more than an attention seeking hypocrite.

    • Every culture has had Slaves yes, but you seemed to have skipped over that the Arab Muslims had slaves long before the Europeans and still have Africans as slaves to this day. I wouldn’t be a hypocrite, I would be right and you just don’t like the truth.

  5. Stephen: Your Muslim friends speak out against terrorism because the Qurán gives them permission to lie to promote Islam. Muslims are not permitted to read the Bible because if they did they would see the difference between the inspired Word of God and the piece of crap called the Qurán.

  6. Completing my previous comment (Which I hope its here…) GOD has a message to those like you in the Qur’an :

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

“Those who pervert the Truth in Our Signs are not hidden from Us. Which is better? he that is cast into the Fire, or he that comes safe through, on the Day of Judgement? Do what ye will: Verily He seeth (clearly) all that ye do. (The Noble Quran, 41:40)”

This is what my GOD teaches me :

“And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend. But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good].” [Qur’an 41:34-35]

“And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together -” [Qur’an 4:140]

“And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.” [2:195]

“Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged. And ever is Allah Hearing and Knowing.” [Qur’an 4:128]

And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.[31:18]

Perhaps Allah will put, between you and those to whom you have been enemies among them, affection. And Allah is competent, and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. [60:7]

And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.[31:18]

Does your Bible have Verses like this?

Or from what I have seen in the Bible their were Violent Verses about stoning women and children but I would not prefer to mention them because I repel good with best like the Qur’an orders me.

    • I think you had better read your holy book some more. It seems you like to pick and choose your verses as well. You’re posting the more friendly suras that have nothing to do with the non-believer of the Muslim god Allah. And you are correct, I should have posted EVERY VERSE that has to do with hate and lying in the so-called holy book, but that would mean I would be re-writing the piece of crap thing! Try to defend this book! It will not work here! Especially if you are picking and chosing verse that are friendly sounding only because they are meant for Muslim cult followers!

  7. That is ignorant and all of what you mentioned is particularly quoted out of original context.
Did you skip those , O Writer of this topic? :

[Qur’an 10:99] “Had your Lord willed, everyone on earth would have believed. Do you then force people to become believers?”

Noble Verses 109:1-6 “Say : O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine.”

In Surah al-Baqarah, 2:256, Allah explicitly states: “Let there be no compulsion in religion”.

“And those who take as protectors others besides Him – Allah doth watch over them; and thou art not the disposer of their affairs. (The Noble Quran, 42:6)”

    • Continued from my last reply, the only reason your so-called holy book of crap has a resemblance to the Christian Bible is because when Muhammad was young and on his own as a child, he attached himself to a Christian Preacher. As many people can see, he did learn a lot from this preacher and it is reflected in his writing of the Quran. Too bad eating all those bad mushrooms and getting high off of bat feces in the cave he wrote it in, made him twist the Christian things he was taught as a young boy. I hate when people try to compare that crappy book to the Christian Bible. If the Muslim Allah were the same as the Christian God, the Muslims would not be slaughtering Christians all over the world as we speak. Get a clue!!!

  8. Great insights on the Koran. Comparing it to the Bible is so insane since the Bible never promotes killing others if they do not convert.

    • The reason the Bible is brought up when talking about the Qur’an is because their “prophet” incorporated bits and pieces of the Christian Bible in his so-called “holy book”. Many people do not know that when he was young and pretty much on his own as a child, he spent time with a Christian Preacher. That is how he learned about the Christian Faith and why they say that their religion incorporates Christianity. Muhammad used bits and pieces he thought to be relevant and then twisted it to make the so-called holy book that they now use.

  9. Also, if a later verse contradicts an earlier verse, the later one supersedes the earlier one. So people can point to peaceful verses in the Quran without mentioning (ore being aware of) more violent, later verses that cancel them out..

  10. Thank you for one of the best insights to the Koran I have ever read with citations. I have lived in the Middle East for several years. When I tell people that Muslims will and can lie in order to promote Islam, they laugh at me. Some people really belive that it is on par with the Bible. I have been told by Muslims (when living abroad)that “they could sever my head from my body and they would be considered a martyr”, for killing an infidel or Chrisitan. My father was told the same thing when he taught for a company in Riyad, Saudi Aragbia

  11. Thank you Kuuleme, this is excellent, I too have read the Koran/Qu’ran and many do misinterpret the so called “peaceful, loving” sections to believing that those are to be extended to non-Muslims which is not so! Thank you for the extensive break-down and the courage to state the facts.

  12. It’s so much more comforting to believe that the violent radicals are just a tiny minority, or that they’re “misinterpreting” or “misunderstanding” their so-called holy book. Once you start studying that book, however, it becomes clear that they’re the ones who DO understand it. If you’re standing on the train tracks, you can’t keep the oncoming train from hitting you by simply closing your eyes and hoping the train bears you nothing but good will.
