President Donald John Trump, Sr has brought the hammer down and chosen to fire Federal Bureau of Investigations Director, James B. Comey, Jr just this afternoon, [at this writing] not even a full 30 minutes ago.
In letters addressed to Comey from the President and the Deputy U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, [now former] Director James B. Comey, Jr was fired.
The sticking point for many, as the point of alarm, especially on the Left, is the point in the letter where President Trump ‘thanks’ Comey for telling him that he was not being investigated by the FBI for being party to any real or perceived Russian intervention or molesting of American Elections during the 2016 Presidential Election Cycle.
I agree with POTUS Trump’s firing of Comey, but this should have been done the day after his Inauguration 1/21/2017, not four and three-quarter months into his organically volatile and controversial Presidency.
None of us is sure what will become of former FBI Director, James B. Comey, Jr, but some believe he will become a Senator, or perhaps a Federal Jurist on one of the Circuit Courts. I, definitely, agree that he should make a Senatorial run.
Who knows? …
Even with all of that, here is what I think is going on:
* Comey was removed from the FBI for many reasons, one of them to get him free of
access to assets [personnel, informants, documents and intelligence] on the HRC
email betrayal and debacle.
* Preparations are being made to bring in a Special Prosecutor to bring charges on HRC.
* Preparations are being made to ^potentially^ investigate Huma Abedin and her
troubled Husband, Anthony Weiner.
* HRC will be indicted.
* Comey will be brought in, as a private citizen, to testify #against Hillary.
As unsettling as this is, I believe it better that it is done now rather than later so the President may get to the business of governing and leading.
